Gap Creationism Explained

Genesis 1:1 Is the original creation from nothingness by the power of God. This is supported by geological science and it is scriptural. Genesis 1:2 is a vast destruction of earth, that was the result of the flood of Lucifer. Lucifer's sin was rebellion with pre-Adam man against God. There is a vast undetermined amount of years between verses 1 and 2. Genesis 1:3 onward is the regeneration of the destroyed earth which is seen in Genesis 1:2, which was done in six literal 24 hour days.

Message to Evangelical Christians

It is my main concern that the evangelical Christians are not aware of all the different theories of the origin of creation. Although I am a published author on the theory of gap creationism, I realize that it is only a theory and ought not be preached from the pulpit. Nor do I believe it should be taught as truth Although it makes perfect sense to me.

I want evangelicals to realize that there is no Christian doctrine for or against such a theory. As a matter of fact, there is no set of doctrine for the origin of the universe. There is only a consensus amoung evangelical Christians that creationism is the only explanation of the existence of creation. This is far from the truth. Gap creationism has been taught by our early church fathers. The gap theory of creation is over a thousand years old while creationism is a few hundred years old. I feel that it is time to bring back the old-time religion and tell it on the mountain that the concept of age-old universe in the theory of gap creationism was a universal teaching in the church many years ago. It is time to reintroduce gap creationism into the arena of ideas and discuss it.
